With hearts that are forever broken, we announce the peaceful passing of our precious baby boy, Braxton Lee Bunnell, who passed away in his sleep on July 7, 2026, at just three months old.
Braxton was born on March 24, 2026, to his loving parents, Saralyn Hardtke and Eli Bunnell Jr. From the very beginning, he showed incredible strength. After a difficult start to life that required multiple hospital stays, Braxton faced every challenge with quiet courage while being surrounded by the unwavering love of his family.
After so many difficult days, it finally felt as though Braxton's journey was turning toward brighter ones. During the last month of his life, he was finally able to be home where he belonged—with his mommy, daddy, and the family who adored him. Those precious weeks became treasured memories. He experienced his first trip to the lake, watched the wonder of Fourth of July fireworks, and spent his days wrapped in endless snuggles, kisses, and unconditional love.
Anyone who met Braxton will remember his bright, beautiful smile. It had a way of lighting up a room and bringing happiness to everyone around him. Though his life was measured in only a few short months, the love he gave and the impact he made on those who loved him are immeasurable.
Braxton is lovingly survived by his parents, Saralyn Hardtke and Eli Bunnell, Jr.; his grandparents, Stacy and Henry Elliott, Mat Hardtke, Eli Bunnell, Sr., and Rex and Annie Bunnell; his great-grandfather, Roy Adams; hid great -grandmother Tina Perkins; his special aunt, Savanna; uncle Tyler Black and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Braxton was preceded in death by his beloved great-grandmother, Cathy Adams.
Though we will never understand why his time with us was so brief, we find comfort in knowing that Braxton knew only love. Every cuddle, every smile, every gentle touch, and every whispered "I love you" surrounded him throughout his life. He taught us that a life does not have to be long to be meaningful. His tiny hands forever changed our hearts, and the memories made during his short time here will be cherished for a lifetime.
Our sweet boy will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Until we meet again, our precious Braxton, you will always be our sunshine, our greatest blessing, and our angel.
There will be no services at this time.
