Betty L. Sullivan, age 81, of Alton, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Watson Fields in Dover, after multiple strokes.
Born August 12, 1932 in Rochester, NH, the daughter of Carleton and Dorothy (Davis) Young, she grew up in Rochester and Milton and attended Spaulding High School. She married her first husband and moved to Alton in 1957.
Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill Sullivan, who died on March 5, 2012, married in 1975, they had travelled in their motor home, skied in Colorado and Austria and spent wonderful happy memories with her grandson Paul at the cottage in Alton Bay.
She was the loving mother of: Linda Johnson of Kittery, Maine, Nana to her only grandchild: Paul Johnson, currently traveling in South America, loving sister to: Lila Dionne of Rochester, also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends. She was also sister of her late siblings: Irene Rumrill of Goffstown, Ralph Young of Wolfeboro, Beverly Marcoux of Milton and Lloyd Young of Norristown, PA.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Church in Alton at the end of April, with urn interment at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton. Cremation arrangements by Peaslee Alton Funeral Home.
