Bert C. Prenaveau, PGA age 82 of Wolfeboro, NH died June 11, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Survived by his wife of 25 years "CJ" Cathy (Gauthier), a brother Jim Prenaveau and his wife Mary of Beverly Hills, FL, a sister-in-law Cindi Chase of Lyman, ME, and brother-in-law Sonny Gauthier and wife Lynne of Milton, NH. He was predeceased by his parents Gertrude and Bertin Prenaveau and a brother Leo Prenaveau.

Bert is a veteran of the US Coast Guard. He worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until 1985 when he retired early to become a professional golf instructor. He started as an assistant at Wolfeboro Kingswood Country Club. Then moved on to become head Golf Pro at Farmington Country Club, for 13 years. He is a lifetime member of PGA since joining in 1991. Amongst his many achievements he ran two Disney marathons after the age of 75 and qualified for the Boston marathon. Received AMC certificate for climbing all 48 – 4000 foot peaks in NH. His goal was to do all 48 again after the age of 80 (he had 22 done.) Remarkably Bert continued to hike/ bike/run/kayak and fish into his early 80's. To relax Bert enjoyed going out and listen to music and dance the night away with his (bride)CJ.

They will be no church service, just a gathering at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central St. in Farmington on Saturday, June 21, 2025, 10:00am to 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, one may make a donation to their favorite charity!
