Bertha I. Brown, age 77, formerly of Farmington, NH, died September 20, 2013, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.
Born November 10, 1935 in South Berwick, Maine, the daughter of Peter and Evelyn (Goodwin) Gaudreault, she had lived in Waterboro Maine, resided in Farmington, NH from 1981-2002 and most recently resided near family in Campton and Bristol, NH.
A communicant of St. Peter's Church in Farmington, she had also served as their housekeeper for twenty years, she had served as a Eucharist Minister, taught religious education and was a Secular Franciscan, also a communicant at Holy Trinity Church in Plymouth.
Bertha enjoyed crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, Japanase Bunka and reading.
Survived by her husband of 56 years: Laurence K. "Larry" Brown and their 4 daughters: Linda Achille, Karen Russell, Denise Brennan and Michelle Brown, 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, a sister: Sylvia Hammond, also several nieces, nephews and aunt: Bertha Carr. She was predeceased by two sons: Kevin Brown and Charles Brown, also a sister: Alice Kelley.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 12 Noon at St. Peter's Church, 88 Central Street, Farmington, NH with Fr. Adrien Longchamps, as celebrant.
