Bernice Avon LeBarge Callaghan, 82, passed away December 26, 2014, at her home in Sanbornville, NH.

She was born August 16, 1932, in Kennebunk, ME to George and Elaine (Minot) LeBarge.

Bernice was a former long time employee of Craig Supply Company/Yankee Equipment Systems in Barrington, N.H.

Bernice enjoyed a large circle of friends who will dearly miss her, and lived an active life in her community. She maintained close contact with high school friends from Kennebunk, friends from her former work, friends from her Church, St. Anthony's in Sanbornville, friends from her volunteer work at Senior Meals at St. Anthony's, from her regular attendance at activities at the Greater Wakefield Resource Center, from her participation in the Knit Wits knitting group in her town, and from many other venues in the Wakefield area.

Bernice is survived by two daughters: Gail Marshall and her husband, Julian Kuffler, of Mount Desert, Maine and Sharon Hall of Rochester N. H.; one close cousin, Patricia LeBarge Wieczorek of Kennebunk, ME, four grandchildren: Lauren Kuffler, Ryan Dionne, Nicole Hall and Danielle Hall; three great-grandchildren; three step-children: Joseph Callaghan, of Bedford, N.H., Deborah Callaghan of Manchester, NH and Sharon Callaghan Mitchell of Bow, NH, and seven step-grand-children. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Callaghan, her parents and her brother, George LeBarge.

Visitation will be held at the Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road, Sanbornville, N.H. on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 9 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial, with Fr. Edmund Babicz as celebrant will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 239 Meadow Street, Sanbornville, NH, on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 11 AM. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dover, N.H.
