Bernadette Gallant, nee Crehan, 86, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH, passed away after a brief illness. She was born on July 10, 1939, in Boston, MA.

Bernadette married Edward Gallant in 1959, and they shared 36 years of marriage until his passing in 1995. She was the mother of Joseph, Robert (2024), and Michael, and mother‑in‑law to Debbie and Keely. She was the grandmother of Christopher (1999), Carly, Alyssa, Taylor (2012), Kyle, Bailee, and Melody, and the great‑grandmother of Samantha, Ethan, Harmony, Alora, Lennon, and Miles.

Bernadette was a longtime member of the Gilmanton Women’s Club and served her community for many years as an election volunteer. She loved birds and could identify many species at a glance.

She will be remembered with love by her family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1pm at Smith Meeting House Cemetery in Gilmanton, NH, family and friends are welcome.
