Beatrice I. "Bea" Smith, 92, of Sanbornville, passed away on September 7, 2024.  Born July 14, 1932, in Sanford, ME daughter to the late George W. and Edith A. (Towle) Philbrick.  Raised in Wolfeboro, NH, she was a graduate of Brewster Academy, Class of 1950.

Bea wore many hats over the years, contributing to the operation of various endeavors.  She owned Longmeadow Farm & Home Supply for 48 years.  Known for her incredible green thumb, her biggest passion was plants & flowers.  She enjoyed visiting with the customers of Longmeadow always sharing her knowledge, wit and great sense of humor.  She was also an avid bowler in her younger years winning many trophies.

She is survived by her sons: Robert A. "Andy" Smith Jr. & wife Rita, Thomas A. Smith, Russell T. Smith & Timothy J. Smith, and sister, Delia Chellis.  Being "Gram" & "Great Gram" was her proudest hat to wear.  Predeceased by her son William J. Smith and her siblings Charles W. Philbrick, Stella E. Michaud and Betsy Thyng.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 20, 2024, at the Sanborn Hill Farm in Sanbornville, NH from 2-4pm, family and friends are welcome.
