Beata R. Hoodlet, age 87, of Ballard's Ridge Road in East Wakefield, died September 9, 2017 at home with her loving family.

Born July 26, 1930 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of Joseph and Florence (Krebs) Witter, she was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1950 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a Registered Nurse.

She resided in East Wakefield, NH for over 30 years, having previously resided in Framingham, MA.

Survived by her loving husband of 65 years: C. William (Bill) Hoodlet and their 5 children: Joseph and wife Eileen Hoodlet, Jean and husband Peter Sullivan, James and wife Penny Hoodlet, Catherine Hoodlet and husband Glenn DeCesare, Kenneth Hoodlet;
12 granddchildren: Erin and husband Andrew Berg, Elizabeth and husband Daniel Mattia, Kathleen Butler and husband Timothy Albert, Stephanie and husband Rafael Andrade, Daniel and wife Casey Sullivan, Kenneth and wife Mandi Sullivan, Timothy Sullivan, Melissa Hoodlet, Keith and wife Sarah Hoodlet, Christopher Hoodlet, Emily Hoodlet and Jeffrey Hoodlet; 12 great grandchildren: Aidan Berg, Nolan Berg, Madison Mattia, Reagan Mattia, Parker Mattia, Benjamin Butler, Isabella Butler, Luke Butler, Ethan Andrade, Lucy Andrade, Elizabeth Andrade and Molly Sullivan, also a sister Marilyn Walsh and a brother Harold Witter.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 6-8pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville (Wakefield), NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Anthony's Church on Meadow Street in Sanbornville (Wakefield) with Fr. Patrick Gilbert, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Woodman Village Cemetery in East Wakefield. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to NH Catholic Charities.
