IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Ann
Demoree
October 28, 1931 – November 8, 2021
Barbara Ann (Hutchins) Demoree, was born on October 28, 1931 in Malden Massachusetts.
She graduated from Lynn Classical High school. In 1950 she married the love of her life Alfred Demoree who predeceased her. Barbara and Al spent their earlier years in Lynn Mass. From 1970 to 1987 she was the Manager of the Swampscott office of Lynn Five cent Saving bank. In 1987 Barbara and Al retired to their summer home on Lovell Lake in Sanbornville, NH.
Barbara loved music and loved to sing, whether in her church choir at South Street Methodist church or just for the pleasure, she had a beautiful voice. For many years she was a square dance caller for the Yankee Twirler Teens, Square Scholars and the Seaside Steppers in Massachusetts. Upon her retirement she volunteered at Carroll County Nursing home, Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro Senior Citizens where she called square dancing for the enjoyment of the seniors. For several years she ran the Sanbornville Fish market part of C&C Lobster of Peabody Mass.
She was an active Bingo player and was on occasion called upon to call the numbers. She and AL enjoyed travelling in their Motorhome around United States. She also loved visiting the Casino's as she was very lucky. She enjoyed watching the old movie classics, playing board games and frequently had the answer when watching game shows. Many close friends referred to her at the Wizard, not only for her ability to keep the party going but because she always had a great story or joke.
She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Alfred G. Demoree. Her parents, Marjorie and William Sukes and her sister Gloria Bordenca. She leaves behind her son William Alfred Demoree and daughter in law, Joanne Demoree, and her daughter Gail Ann Watson and son in law Mark Watson. Her three granddaughters and their spouses, Casey & Julio Chuy, Kate and Daniel Morin, and Courtney and Jack Bergerson. Four great grandchildren and three great grand puppies, along with many friends and relatives. She will be greatly missed.
Family and close friends are welcome to a Graveside Service on Monday November 15, 2021, 11am at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham, MA.
