EAST WAKEFIELD — Barbara P. Connors, 81, of Province Lake Road, East Wakefield, died June 14, 2010, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born Sept. 25, 1928, in Somerville, Mass., the daughter of Arthur C. and Williamina (Sangster) Pickford, she was raised in Leominster, Mass. She resided in East Wakefield, N.H., for the past 10 years, having come from Barrington.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Army Nursing Corps, having served for seven years. A registered nurse, she was retired from the Veterans Administration.
Barbara was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wakefield and the Parish Helpers at church, also a member of the American Legion Post 7 of Rochester.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Edward F. Connors and two stepchildren, Daniel R. Connors of Milton and Kelly Anne Gayton of Buzzards Bay, Mass.; five grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
