Dr. Arthur J. Dyck of Alton, NH entered into eternal rest August 11, 2022. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, his strong will, kind heart and gentle soul brought comfort to all, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Born in Saskatoon, Sask. Canada to Russian immigrant parents, even at a young age Arthur demonstrated a vigilant work ethic. Arthur attended Tabor College and married his high school sweetheart Sylvia. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this September.

Arthur and family relocated to Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1965 where he completed his doctorate at Harvard University and continued to teach religious and medical ethics at the Harvard Divinity School and Harvard School of Public Health. Arthur was deeply devoted to his family, faith, teaching career, academic endeavors and the human condition. He spent numerous hours in his study reading, writing and published numerous books and articles over his 55 year career.  In his free time he enjoyed singing in the community church choir, outdoor walks, gardening, and spending time with his family.

Arthur is survived by his wife Sylvia, daughters Cynthia and Sandra, grandchildren Joseph, Jesse, Jennifer, great granddaughter Hailey and his sister Marge. Arthur is predeceased by his parents and brother.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Alton Community Church on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to the Payson Center for Cancer in Concord, NH.
