Obituary

Arlene M. Mooers, age 82, of Milton, died January 23, 2012 at Colonial Hill of Rochester.

Born May 17, 1929 in Milton, the daughter of Henry and Alfreda (Bragg) Currier, she resided there for most of her life.

Prior to retirement, she worked in laundry at a nursing home in Dover and was a former shoeworker at Hubbard Shoe.

Arlene enjoyed sitting out on her deck watching the birds and squirrels. She also enjoyed watching the flowers bloom in her gardens and in the canoe. An avid Red Sox fan, she never missed a game on television. She loved spending time with her cat Fluffy, having coffee time with her grandson (herJohn) John and she also enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family.

She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in E. Rochester.

Widow of the late Fred Mooers, she is survived by their two sons: Leon and Cynthia Mooers of Milton, Scott and Crystal Mooers of Farmington, 7 grandchildren and their spouses: Lenny Mooers, John Mooers and Mellisa, Matthew Mooers and Airi, Christine Levesque and Eric, Becky Rand and Jesse, Matthew Newton and Aaron Sowards, 6 great grandchildren, a sister: Muriel Brumage, 2 brothers: Lawrence (Lindy) Currier and Ronald Currier, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Paul James Mooers, a brother Henry "Sonny" Currier, Jr. and 2 sisters: Kathleen Thompson and Marion Wyatt.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a calling hour prior to the service from 10-11 am.
