Antoinette "Ann" Glidden, age 79, of East Wakefield, died December 7, 2018 at Wolfeboro Bay Care Center.

Born September 23, 1939 in Newark, New Jersey, a daughter of Joseph and Marianna (Entrabartolo) Venditti, she resided in New Jersey for years and lived in East Wakefield, NH for 45 years.

She and her husband Bob were former owners of A&B Mini Market in East Wakefield, Glidden's Big Dipper drive-in, Four Seasons Market and Choo-Chew Café.

Ann was an active member in town government for the Town of Wakefield, serving on the Budget Committee, the School Board and as Supervisor of the Checklist.  She was active with the Greater Wakefield Resource Center, Meals on Wheels, was a Hospice careperson and she loved to help the elderly in town.

Survived by her husband of 54 years: Robert H. Glidden and their 4 children: Teresa and husband Joe Williams, Janet Glidden, Jacqueline and husband Michael Wall, Robert and wife Tina Glidden, 5 grandchildren: Maria Glidden, Marrissa Williams, Connor Glidden, River Pacheco-Wall and Kai Wall, also several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents and sister Ida Scheuplein.

Calling hours are Friday December 14, 2018 from 4-7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville (Wakefield), NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 239 Meadow Street, Sanbornville, NH with Fr. Patrick Gilbert, pastor, as celebrant.  Interment will be in the spring at Lovell Lake Cemetery.  If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Greater Wakefield Resource Center.
