Anna Frances Sceggell, age 105, formerly of Milton, died peacefully, February 29, 2016 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover, where she most recently resided.
Born November 6, 1910 in Rochester, the daughter of Frank E. and Grace (Wright) McIntire, she was a lifelong resident of Milton, a graduate of Nute High School, Class of 1928.
She ran a bakery out of her home in Milton, where summer people coming up to their cottages would buy her bakery goods.
In earlier years, she was a shoeworker at local shoe factories.
A member of the Milton Community Church and the Woman's Union at church, Milton Woman's Club, Young at Heart of Milton and Order of the Eastern Star.
Widow of the late Howard J. Sceggell, Sr., survived by their son: Howard J. Sceggell, Jr. and wife Helen of Rochester, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, a niece Grace Casey of Exeter and 2 great nieces. Predeceased by her daughter Arlene Fields.
Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the nurses and aides on Unit 2 at Riverside Rest Home for their loving and excellent care, the past ten years of her life.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Milton Mills Cemetery. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home in Farmington.
