Andrew W. "Andy" Gagnon, age 87, of Northeast Pond Road in Milton, died October 27, 2013 at St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dover.
Born January 14, 1926 in Lawrence, MA, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luger Gagnon, he had resided in Methuen, MA for many years and resided in Milton, NH since 2001.
Prior to retirement, he was employed as a shop teacher at Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School. He also had owned and operated Gagnon's TV Service in So. Lawrence, MA and he had worked as an engineer with AVCO Industries in MA.
A communicant at St. Anthony's Church in Sanbornville, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a 4th Degree Knight. He enjoyed Polka dancing with his wife Yvette and friends.
Predeceased by his wife of 60 years: Yvette Marie (Daigle) Gagnon, he is survived by their two children: Gary Gagnon and Andrea Corso, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, a brother Raymond Gagnon, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 sisters: Ida Bouchard, Blanche Letendre and Viola Ferona and a brother: Leon Gagnon.
A calling hour will be on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 9-10am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Anthony's Church on Meadow Street in Sanbornville, NH with Fr. Edmund A. Babicz, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
