Allan E. Mayranen, age 82, of Oak Hill Road in Sanbornville, died peacefully at home on January 13, 2020.

Born January 24, 1937 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, son of Effie Mayranen, he resided for many years in Westminster, MA and lived in the Wakefield area of NH since 1970.

A United States Army Veteran, he was a member of the American Legion.

He was retired, a Welder and Pipefitter with Local 131, industrial construction.

Al was an active Mason, 32 ^nd Degree, since 1960, member of Unity Lodge No. 62 F.& A.M., Bektash Shrine, Simadi, Knights Templar and Commandry.  A member of the Bearded Wonders of Wakefield, former member of the Wakefield Lions Club and he served as Cemetery Custodian in Wakefield for years. An avid outdoorsman, he loving hunting and fishing. He was an instructor with the New Hampshire Fish and Game, where he taught hunter's safety and educational programs.  Also, he was a published author.

Survived by his wife of 64 years: Marie E. (Jodrey) Mayranen, their 2 children: Wanda M. Mayranen and Martin A. Mayranen, grandson Eric M. Mayranen, great granddaughter Ashlynn.  Predeceased by 2 children: JoAnn and Michael.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, NH, with a Masonic Service at 6:30pm.  A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11am at Woodside Cemetery in Westminster, MA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Shriners Hospital for Children.
