Alice E. Hanley, age 83, of Alton, died November 24, 2012 at Wolfeboro Bay Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 18, 1929 in Newton, MA, she was the daughter of Albert and Rose (Blakeney) Foley.
Alice was a dance teacher and choreographer, having owned and operated several dance studios over the course of 27 years, "Alice Hanley Dance Academy."
Widow of the late Leonard M. Hanley, who died in 2011, she is survived by their 2 children: John W. Hanley and June Russell, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Rosanne McKeon and June Collins, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother: James Foley and 2 sisters: Mae Vossberg and Helen Brackett.
A private family service will be held at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, followed by interment at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Autismspeaks.org
