Alexander McGibbon, Jr., age 82, died January 26, 2021 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

Born August 12, 1938 in Lawrence, MA, son of Alexander and Dorothy (Boynes) McGibbon, he resided in Salem, NH for many years, prior to moving to Farmington, NH in 2006.

Alexander worked as a chemical worker at Raffi and Swanson for over twenty-five years prior to retiring. Through the years there, he worked alongside his father, his brother and his son.

Alexander was a sweet, quiet man who somehow made friends wherever he went. He loved hunting and fishing. He appreciated nature and the great outdoors. One of his favorite spots to visit with his wife was Bar Harbor, Maine and Arcadia National Park. In later years, he enjoyed having coffee on the porch with neighbors and friends and watching the hummingbirds. Above everything, he loved spending time with his family and seeing his grandchildren grow.

Alexander is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anne (Fluet) McGibbon, 3 children: son, Alexander and wife Holly McGibbon of Rochester, NH, daughter April and husband David Lachance of Chelmsford, MA, and daughter Abby and husband David Tourville of Danville, NH; 3 grandchildren: Kristine and husband Steve Bhulli, Alexandrya McGibbon, and Andrew Lachance. He is predeceased by his parents and 4 siblings: Dorothy Digloria, Barbara Fawcett, Russell McGibbon, and William McGibbon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation care by Peaslee Funeral Home. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Seacoast Cancer Center in Dover, NH.
