Albert Joseph "Jake" Tremblay, age 87, of Milton, NH, died September 21, 2018, quietly at home, after a brief illness.

Born July 15, 1931 in Berlin, NH, a son of Jules Eugene and Evelyn (Wood) Tremblay, he was raised in the Sanford, Maine area, a graduate of Sanford High School, Class of 1950. He also resided in Rochester, Somersworth and Dover, NH.

He joined the United States Navy and began his military service on submarines, which lasted for 20 years, having last served on the USS Albacore, which was donated as a museum and memorial in Portsmouth, NH. He retired from the Navy as a Master Chief in 1969.

In 1977, after attending Northeast Technical Institute in Boston, MA for Refrigeration and A/C, he started his own business, Tremblay & Son Heating, working in the HVAC field until his retirement in 1992, turning his business over to his son Gary.

Survived by his daughter Bonnie Adams-Gove and husband Dave Gove of Stuart, FL, daughter Sandy Tremblay of Barrington, NH, son Richard and wife Gail Tremblay of Farmington, son Gary and wife Susan Tremblay of Milton, daughter Kim Hornbeck of Barrington, NH, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Marion (James) Tremblay in 2008, their daughter Pamela Tremblay in 2003 and his brother Eugene Tremblay.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with Pastor Alfred Weeden, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.
