Albert James Howard age 73, known to many as Jim, passed away peacefully at his home July 20, 2026. Jim was born Oct 11, 1952, the son of Richard (dec.) and Avis (Boisvert) Howard. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Dorinda (Kelly) Howard. A son Graham Howard his wife Kate and three grandchildren. Two sisters Laura Magee and husband Kerry and Sharon Miller and husband Chuck. Three brothers Richard and wife Cheryl, Ryan and wife Melissa, Craig Howard and wife Brenda. Sister-in-law Patricia Kelly along with special cousin Ruby Warshock, also many nieces and nephews.

Jim grew up in Farmington and graduated from Farmington High School. As a young man he joined the Navy and traveled around the world. After 6 years he returned home to New Hampshire. He joined the NH Guard in Rochester, later transferring to the Air Guard at Pease where he received a number of awards for special service. He retired from the Air Guard after 22 years in the services.

He loved his dogs especially his English mastiffs, carrying his puppy Cassie around the yard until he could no longer lift her. He especially enjoyed camping in Errol, NH with his brothers and nephew. Always returning to the same camp ground. He was always helping out a neighbor, or stranger lost from Blue Job Mt. He was an avid bicyclist, even riding in the winter. He will be buried on his land with three of his dogs
