Tami Lee Carpenter, 25, was born in Manchester, NH on May 12th, 1986. Daughter of Suzanne Dyer, and Lee Carpenter, she lived in Farmington and attended their schools for most of her life. She died on April 23rd, 2012, due to Chronic Renal Failure and ongoing health problems, of which she fought hard until the end for nine plus years. Tami was a very strong willed girl. She embraced life to the fullest and lived every day like it was her last. As a teenager she was very athletic. She played basketball, volleyball, and her true love, competitive swimming. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Farmington where she sung in the choir. She enjoyed dancing at the club and attending parties. She loved cars and going to the drag races. She also enjoyed hiking with her brother and playing games with family and friends. She worked as a waitress at Brickstones in Gonic, NH, where her coworkers loved her as did her customers. Her smile and attitude towards life could make anyone’s day. She had a heart of gold and gave to people even if she needed more. She was always willing to help any one of her many friends no matter what the cost was for her. She will always be remembered as the girl who always put everyone else first. She lived the last days of her life by the side of her mother, grandmother (Rita Couturier), brother (Mark Carpenter), and all of her many supportive friends. She was predeceased by her three brothers Shane, Jason, and Erik Carpenter, her paternal grandparents Charles and Isabell Carpenter, her maternal grandfather Paul Couturier, her three uncles Roger, Kenneth, and David Couturier, and her Aunt Gail Couturier. The family would like to thank the staff at Maine Medical, Seacoast Dialysis, and the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for everything they did for Tami and how supportive they were to the family. A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening May 1st, 2012 at 6pm with a calling hour of 5pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street Farmington, NH.
